As the winter darkness sets in, it’s time to inject some bright colours!
It’s cold, it’s wet, it’s dark when I get up, it’s dark by three, oh how British of me to talk about the weather. But when’s it’s gloomy outside I need something to brighten me up and I naturally gravitated to these two colours in my leather scraps – bright yellow and orange.
I was drawn to this sunshine yellow and I like the cracked aged effect almost like it has been sitting outside in the sun for a tad too long.
Pairing it with a royal blue really made the yellow stand out even more, I am loving this colour combo!
This orange almost reminds me of orange peel, the texture, minus the citrusy smell. This orange isn’t too bright and slightly muted so it paired nicely with the ‘old lavender’ lilac purple.
Making these two colours really cheered me up, they’re very limited though only five in yellow and six in orange, much like summer, fleeting… get them while you can.
Both can be stamped on to make them more personal for real book lovers as well as for your new journal/diary/planner for 2018 – make those goals happen! And as the saying goes – ‘Fortune favours the bold’
